There will have been plenty of backroom discussions with prospective investors leading up to this. I suspect the SGX is one of the conditions to seal things.
The ASX is superior, no doubt, but it is correct to say that LNC has not received much support on this platform .... all of the big money has come from elsewhere. But, as szaba points out, that can be sheeted home to the patchy management record.
LNC first started having its problems from the day they went into the US. A long time ago 'BigAl' posted an analysis of LNC's finances if they had simply banked the $500 mil from Adani .... a whole World of difference. It is one of the reasons I do not like the corporate governance arrangements, PB needs a counterweight for his enthusiasms.
