It was said at one stage that "Gold rose on the back of silver" but I didn't believe that.
Then analysts commented that China was importing silver and some took notice of that.
China is very loath to disclose some data; however a conference in China heard that China would be exporting some 3500 tonnes this year. I can't see much scarcity till they cut that back.
China is a big producer and is likely the biggest one but one does'nt know how many transactions are officially recorded. Hence the confusion.
Foreigners have taken to Chinese silver propjects as well and I can see little letup in Chinese exports.
It will take some time before silver is going to lead Gold IMHO:
