Interesting how the Labor cheer squad here view this whole issue through one eye.
I wonder, for example, who's been paying airfares, accommodation, transport etc for the past month for Albo, Shorten and their entourages to zip around the country on purely Party political business?
Why do taxpayers have to foot their salaries for this period when they're on Party political business?
Do they see any sense of irony - any at all - in Wayne Swan charging us $12000 to commandeer a VIP jet to fly him and the kids to the AFL final in 2010, then commandeer a RAAF jet next day to fly him and some mates to the NRL final in Sydney - and THEN to try and justify the costs the other day whilst he's on a "study tour" in New York!!
Give us a break guys.
I haven't even touched on the massive snouts in the trough between 2007 and 2013 where massive amounts of our money were spent for Ministers and Caucus members to go to purely Party political and union gatherings across the country.
