You would be surprised how many listed companies have/ had this problem: where Directors are substantial shareholders and they think by just submitting an Appendix 3Y it is all covered for substantial shareholding.
It all comes down to how good (or bad) your Company Secretary is at the listed company you invest in to be able to spot these things and rectify them ASAP.
Not making any excuses ... I have said in my HAV SWOT posts last year that attention to detail (crossing the t's and dotting the i's) is sometimes missing.
