Last week's quarterly announced GCN's abandonment of Jermaine Jackson's JJ5TV mission to find five young talented Australians and turn them into a modern day version of the Jackson 5. The competition has been moved offshore to China.
Yet GCN's home page at www.goconnect.com.au still tells Australians that the quest is on. This page also provides a link to www.jj5tv.com - a domain name owned and managed by GCN.

Since July the jj5tv site has invited young Australians to submit videos of their performance. It still invites them to do so.
It's hopeless, really. Like having to watch Friday afternoon's news bite on www.gotentv.com at 9:00 on a Monday morning.
It is, though, rather more insensitive to disappoint the expectations of Australian youngsters.
