Wescoal is a South African coal company that was originally a coal trader selling predominantly into the domestic market, boilers, home fires etc. A few years ago they took over a coal washing plant in order to control the quality of their products and then took over a couple of small coal mines in order to guarantee supply for their customers.

Its regarded as the one and only successful business model on the JSE coal sector. Its shares ahve appreciated rather than gone due south, (c/w COaL, CCC, UNV, XCD etc etc.)
