    Banjar, you can attempt to argue the issue of Nguyen Van Tuong on many different, if you like, clinical areas.

    The simple fact is, those of us who are strongly opposed to this killing are opposed on the basis that it is a barbaric means of punishment for this first time offender. I think you would find that many of us would not be so strongly opposed if it was even the second time that this guy had been convicted in relation to drug trafficking. You will now say that we are hypocritical.

    That's not to say that the death penalty is an acceptable punishment under any circumstances.

    It is just a ridiculous, preposterous, barbaric, inhumane and totally disgusting reaction by the Singaporean government. Justify it how you like, it remains just that.

    By the way Banjar, tell me this, if you had a son who was arrested under the same circumstances as Nyugen Van Tuong, would you be supportive of the Singaporean government murdering him?
