Acreage - interested in your comments but my interests go further to the following:
1. The dealings of ASX companies with regard to related party transactions and what is a related party - It has a lot of relevance here given what everyone else has posted but I as a new shareholder did not know. - I have a view that the ASX should require shareholder approval for contracts where they are related parties but with a threshold that triggers the requirement.
2. The listing of companies that have corporate jurisdictions that are in fact very different to those in Australia such as Bermudian companies - not applicable here.
3. The requirement for events whereby assets are sold either to holding companies or related party transactions and the rules governing those. Third party fair and reasonable statements etc.
I am thinking that it is about time we the shareholders started getting the pollies to understand what is needed here. The MIS disaster , the "centro events" and the like have in my opinion harmed the investing environment for a number of people.
