Yeah, I received a call today too. A pleasant young fella, rather wanted a much stuff as I would give him for his report.

Told him I was sitting in front of an email from Peter, about to reply and he was a bit taken aback.

But yes to PH's credit I did receive an email yesterday in reply to mine of several days ago.

He said he hadn't received mine, but I could see in the string where Nick Heath had prompted him to reply.

Peter offered a phone call himself, but I politely declined as follows;

(you will note I 'appealed' to his decent side as you put it, but they are not rational decision makers 'fraid to say)

Yes, a range of issues certainly.

Whilst I appreciate the offer of a call, and further to that today’s announcement regarding a stay in awarding options, (favourably noted), I don’t believe talks at this very late stage will reveal anything that has not already been released via MEL’s official network.

As I have repeatedly asserted in shareholder discussions via phone and email, I find you personable and friendly when we communicate.

However, and you are aware of this; shareholders have lost faith and perhaps leadership has even lost our trust. We believe we need a much better fit in a number of positions at MEL, and more than enough time has been given to the incumbents, (numerous difficulties granted), to display the ability needed to handle the challenges which lay ahead.

Peter, I am a largely “sentimental bloke”, but you mightn’t see it when it comes to business dealings. Fair, honest and decent I hope….and we hope the decent acts from a Board and management under siege are still to come.

However it is a democratic process you are all entitled to if it comes to that, and we wish you well.
