I think you might remember that I on this thread very strongly argued a while ago that drugs should be legalised and be considered as a social/medical problem.
Prohibition NEVER works - it always corrupts and makes problems MUCH worse.
If the bikies - which I believe are to some degree involved in supplying drugs and running prostitution - are locked up someone else will step in.
I really wonder whether Newman and friends are so stupid that they don't realise that.
Question arising from that is the old "cui bono"?
Or as you said "who are the inheritors of the state's drug trade going to be?"
