I'm no shrink, but I would hazard a guess that our fellow forum member, Lapdog, is very angry and upset about something. To come up with such a comment, there must be a great deal of angst happening beneath the surface in his/her life.
One must ask if all the noble men and women presently putting their own life at risk (I believe up to 1500 firefighters in NSW) would feel flattered to know that Lapdog thought of them as 'fighting major bushfires with a shovel and rake'.
If this is the best that Lapdog can come up with, he/she deserves pity not derision.
