This stuff was on the ABC yesterday - on the news, they also had a more balanced opinion from a scientist - along the lines of the statement the UN chief made about the WMO. But on AM which succeeded the new, only the UN chief's message was reported.
Even as an unreconstructed "warmist" I find this unsettling, and the UN chief's contradictory statements bizarre.
At the same time there has been plenty of anecdotal evidence that the recent fires were the worst since the 50's. Lots more fuel load for sure - but is this climate change, or just the good seasons we have had for the last couple of years? Or a combination of both?
