    parkerkeith,

    You stated:
"it's a risky business being the head honcho or honchet and when it goes bad they GO"

How is it risky in the current times being 'head honcho'? You get paid lots of money to 'run' a company making forecasts and blue sky targets along the way. If you do well, you reward yourself with bonuses and pay rises. If you don't do well, most directors still get pay rises and incentive bonuses to try harder. If they really stuff up, you are asked to leave but get paid out a large sum of money for early termination of employment. If you really, really stuff up and legal action is taken against you, shareholders will pay for your legal costs and if you did eventually lose, you would possibly be covered by directors insurance and a settlement paid for by shareholders as well.

Just look at the most recent GFC as an example. Head honcho's from the biggest financial institutions, took on excessive risks and caused one of the biggest crashes in history resulting in millions of people losing their jobs and their life savings. However, not a single 'head honcho' was prosecuted and most continued to receive bonuses and high salaries. High risk you say? More like 'No Risk, High Return' IMO.
