Interesting to see that Shell have hung around at ES since 1998, whilst Santos who took MEO's share & gave that away. ES will always remain the one that got away frm MEO (15% equity : Shell 85%). Snippet as released on 4/6/98.
Evans Shoal-2 was tested over two separate intervals. The first interval, between 3,633m and 3,715m, flowed gas at a rate of 25.5 million cubic feet per day with a wellhead pressure of 2,080 psi using a 52/64" choke. The second test, over the interval from 3,580m to 3,620m, flowed gas at a rate of 5.0 million cubic feet per day with a wellhead pressure of 650 psi using a 40/64" choke. The gas column in the Evans Shoal-2 well is 229m. Seismic mapping indicates that the maximum gas column length is 288m at the culmination of the Evans Shoal structure, and that the accumulation covers an area of approximately 500 sqkm.
