It could be alleged that Mirabella fell victim to a campaign run with the support of hundreds of young determined young volunteers. I have always wondered WHY their huge passion - to see Mirabella go down - and, I allege, as Get Up" a young Leftist's structure - if that entity didn't have something to do with the Independent beating Mirabella - via sheer force of numbers in the campaign.

We have seen politics change remarkably over a very short time period. Since social media became a factor. Also we have seen the micro parties get wise to The Greens phenomenon of winning the sixth senate seat via preferences - taking it to its nth degree through the use of algorithms.
In Victoria at the last federal election we had two blanket storm campaigns - Melbourne and Indi. The Greens victory party in Melbourne looked like a Deb Ball minus the guys and T Shirts replacing the dresses.
