    Richard21,

    you say,

Like I said, devoting your very short existence to a ‘false belief’ leads to a meaningless life and only detracts from the things that are meaningful.

    point one,

    prove it's false.

    point two,

    "leads to a meaningless life"

HOW, and meaningless to who, are you to decide who's life has meaning and who's doesn't?

    point three.

detracts from the things that are meaningful

HOW, and meaningful to who, are you to decide what is meaningful and what not?

    yoy say

People can spent their lives doing or believing whatever they wish.

thank you for your permission, didn't think we needed it, but thanks anyway

My problem is when their beliefs and actions have adverse consequences on the lives of others.

so when athiests beliefs have adverse affects on Christian lives, do you have a problem with that? are you going to march up and down the street and complain when the government forces churches to marry gays against their beliefs?

(Life being meaningless may sound depressing to some, but it provides my life with all the more meaning).

so a meaningless life gives your life meaning?
