Not necessarily so, cosmologists do not yet know how the universe began, two speculative scenarios are Quantum Emergence and No Previous Era. Both defy common logic, but as Einstein remarked: Time and space are modes by which we think, and not conditions in which we live.

But at the end of the day, when it comes to belief in a deity, each to his own, although IMO, any form of proselytising should be totally banned.
