I think Williams was committed to ride Mount Athos a while ago. While I think mount athos will win I'll also be backing dandino. The caulfield cup used to be a good form race but it's been overshadowed in recent years by other races like the Geelong cup. Can still remember delta blues getting under my guard several years back.
The best roughie may be red cadeaux. He's in the best form of his career and is proven here. His run last year was pretty good in a slowly run race. Doriemus nearly won it again two years later, so I think RC is great e/w value.
I think fiorente deserves to be favorite and his run in the Cox was great. I know he had a hard run BUT he still couldn't beat a maiden. Makybe had a tough run in his win and still blitzed them. Fiorente certainly has what is needed to win a MC but he just finds bad luck...and you need plenty of luck in a MC.
