99% sure the Derby does. Certainly has every other year unless the rules changed for 2013. But other than Nothing Leica Dane and Excellent, not many 3yo accept the invitation. Excellent got scratched on race day and it took so much out of NLD who was never the same.
The main reason they don't accept would be the late entry fee of over $100k. The light weight is attractive but its a young horse and backing up within 3days. Derby winners are worth weight in gold as stallions. You dont burn them out.
