Here we go again . The same old supporting the property sector argument .

As far as I can tell , the NRAS is a labor government idea to provide affordable housing for the low income earners. Don't really understand the principal too much myself , particularly the inner city stuff . If you can't afford to live there ultimately , maybe you should relocate even if the govt has to help ?
Anyway , everyone complains that housing is too expensive , particularly for the low income group . The government attempts to help out a bit by providing some relief . In order for the government to keep costs down , it outsources these properties to investors . Otherwise , taxes would have to go up or these people would have to find cheaper accommodation somewhere else .
Which way do you want it ?
No welfare ? No government housing ? Increased taxes ?
