If we compare Calimmune's application to our own we would find that Calimmune, who's CEO said they had a very good relationship with the FDA, took seven months to get from lodgement of details on clinicaltrials.gov (after RAC) to recruiting patients. If we assume that our HCV IND application will go through a similar vetting process then we can expect to be recruiting our first patient in Feb 2014 - anything earlier than that would indicated that we may have done slightly better than our licencee.

If management had employed this same logic when drawing up the HCV timetable then this thread would probably have never started and recruiting at an earlier date would have been seen as a good achievement. ----Just a different basis for setting an expectation.
