I have to confess to being pretty ignorant as far as TA is concerned - basically have no idea and just read stuff by others who all seem to know it. My background is in economics/accounting so I try to use fundamental analysis.

As far as NCM is concerned I have never owned it because I thought the upside would be limited and have never examined its accounts etc.

What I have gleaned from some articles by TA is that you want to have both the monthly and weekly POG charts going in the positive direction (ie uptrend), with a lot of indicators in support of the uptrend. Yes I do know that in theory the POG is now still supposed to be in a long term up-trend from its 2001 lows, and if my memory serves me correctly that uptrend would only be violated if the POG fell below around USD900 (I am sure u could fill me in on what that number actually is), at which point NCM and a heap of other goldies around the world would be crying for mama's help. Actually there are probably already a heap of them putting out the begging bowl in the capital markets, or planning to do so when conditions are right.

The main point of my post is that in the position that your original poster finds themselves in I would wait to ensure that NCM was likely to be profitable going forward before buying more shares (and also not going to have a massive capital injection to dilute the shareholding). A positive uptrend (and supporting indicators) on the monthly charts could be one indicator in helping to form the investment decision. However, I rely on TAs to tell me what the charts are saying as I have not got a clue.

I hope that helps, or perhaps not.
