It's sad when very good and very sensible people fall under the funding bonanza/religion which is global warming, oops climate change, oops whatever it's called this week to fit into whatever structure anyone can gets grants.
He really did look a little lost and vague last time I saw him in person, therefore why I am concerned he's being led. Got to remember he isn't 40 anymore! I'm sure he really believes he's doing the right thing and is being fanboi'd to death.
Tough for a lot of these guys as funding has been so hard to get for all the good local environmental issues they have tried to manage over the many many years. The problem with the climate change funding grabbing the $$$ and redistributing to zealots only is the programs for real 'local issues' has dried up.
When CSIRO had their 'new front page' climate change site set up under Rudd showing full/unanimous support from CSIRO scientists, do you REALLY think there were no dissenting scientists?
