I had noticed a bit of irregularity with Cannabis sentencing in Singapore. If you were to have a look at the clemency plea of Shanmugam Murideshu (maybe not exact spelling), he cited about 4 cases where people caught with more then 500g had the death penalty charge knocked down to a long jail sentence. There was the famous case of the German girl who had the same. Similar pressure was brought by the German Govt as the Australian government - before the court case. She ended up escaping the noose.
