Manipulation tends to stop immediately at the point that companies begin to produce profit.
Because at that point a company has some pretty unchangeable structural fundamentals.

Manipulators rely on rumour, fear and the unknown hence the SP is pure "conjecture" and can be manipulated by these parasites.

But once a business has "a business" say CSL, COH, BHP etc they have underlying facts (fundamentals) that make it pretty difficult to manipulate the stock.
Because buyers in those stocks would just jump in and buy because its more easily seen to be at a silly SP.
