I think those on both sides of the debate will be upset by Nguyens death but for different reasons. Those opposed to it see it as the end of one wasted life. Those supporting it see it as a sign that the fight to save countless other wasted lives has not ended and must go on. I believe that it is those who support the hanging of drug traffickers who more than anyone do not want to see any more hanged because it would be an indication that they may be winning the fight against drugs. On the other hand those who want to see it stopped now have only one man condemned to a miserable life in jail who would be completely forgotten by all in very short time as an indication of their success?
