I did phone ARL, and they reckon there was a loss of over $21 million dollars for the year 2012-2013.
Apparently they have assets which translate into a certain Unit value. The loss causes the Unit value to go down.
So if there is another loss this year (2013-2014), then the Unit value could of course, become negative.
So ARL could be bust by June 2014, which is not far away now.
ARL would not devulge how much they have in cash.
That means most of the assets are paper only.
In my books, that means they are broke.
Why cannot they pay a distribution from the cash they have now?
