As far as dilution goes, your point is well made. Whether one takes up the rights or not will not affect the earnings per share dilution but it will affect one's personal ownership of the company

I simply cannot see the merit of not participating....You keep your ownership % the same, you keep this management from earning more because there is less shortfall to place, and you increase your holding at what may turn out to be a discount

It will take place irrespective...boycotting at as some sort of revenge is pointless
