The issue with actually producing HW3 will depend upon the amount of gas generated with the oil which will only become clear with the production test of the second side track.
If the gas volume is very low then it will be a case of flaring the gas and buying a jackup and converting it to a production facility and producing the oil to a moored storage tanker similar to Mutineer Exeter and Legendre in Western Australia
It may be they drill the sidetrack deeper to reduce chance of intersecting any gas cap given the height of the aboid formation. Just speculation.
I think we will have adequate time to contemplate a million possibilities.
Given any development costs will be recovered from "cost" oil, the key issue is the size of the resource and production rate. Producing through Mamoura was probably appropriate if the size of the field was at the P10 end of the scale. It may not be an issue.
