Labor always tried to return a budget surplus but was frustrated by ever failing revenues courtesy of the GFC and China's post GFC hiccups.
If by that comment you are also equating the ALP as 'the Left' and therefore pagan and godless; you need to dig one heck of a lot further before making such ill-informed comment.
