It's not the stock, its the whole mid-cap group of miners. Collectively the 50 mid-tier miners have been dramatically stripped of value over the last 3 years. Good article on this in the Australian yesterday.
The whole sector is very under-valued because collectively they are apparently trading below NPV. Don't go blaming one horse for getting thin when the whole herd is starving.
