I see that the calculation is based on models and not hard data,should be able to get some up to date tide gauge info.
Since there has been no warming for the last 17 years and this is acknowledged by even the head of the IPPC starts to get pretty tricky here as we are down to very small figures as far as difference goes.
Wonder what their margin of error is, standard used to be + or _ 2.5 % but I suspect that has changed.
By the way one of the original satellite arrays was out of whack by quite a large factor for a number of years...bit dicey. I also get doubts about temp readings taken from airports and cities ,they are claimed to be compensated for but the figures are not available...much better to take the radio sonde readings combined with open country stations only.
