I'll throw my 2 bob's worth in. I am not a geo and not geo-trained either - far from it in fact; but I have developed a real interest in geology because of my biggish investment in RNI - a close neighbour. Both ALY and RNI got lucky I reckon when they acquired various tenements from BlueCrest at the beginning of last year. Lucky? Well they are in the vastly under-explored Bryah Basin which had been in certain parts considered just a gold area. That is until SFR's lucky cu/au strike at DeGrussa in May 2009. It's worth reading the SFR anns then, esp the assay Tables.
That's when the focus changed to copper, and every man and his dog thought it would be easy finding more - but nil further to date.

What is not realised by many is that cu/au was discovered in the B Basin long before DeG. That was last century at Horseshoe Lights. This ann mentions HL. It's worth researching. Horseshoe Metals (HOR) has been working the same ground so far with moderate success. Go to its website and link investor/presentation feb 2013 pages 13 and 6. That's a fair dinkum vms cu/au deposit. Also if you want to research further, read the HOR Prospectus. You will need to go way back in the website, but it's there. Read the geo's report. Geo reports in Prospectuses are very valuable. Check out ALY's. I haven't but it should be there.

Also - are you still there? - google "Gleneagle Gold prospectus 2003 near abn amro" and read that Geo's report. It's not aly but very close in part. Fascinating to me it was - maybe to you too.

Understand the locations. Know where the Jenkin and Goodin Faults are. Know what the Narracoota Formation/Volcanics is. Realise that the B Basin is on the margin of the Yilgarn Craton.

Now DeGrussa! I think from a reasonably quick look that the author of this report does not mention vms at deG - just copper!. So what's that about? Check the direction Karl Simich is headed - VRX to the east, not west. Mobilised?

Anyway, the crux of the matter, as I see it, is that it's the multi-elements that are the key indicators to vms deposits, at least here anyway. This is what the report seems to be saying. But vms takes many forms. it's not just cu/au of course. Check SIR of course as a diff example.

It's very early days for aly, but it's on the right track imo. You need expensive deeper drilling and assays. This is where RNI is ahead of you and leading the way. Your geo team is heading in the right direction tho - long wait and patience will be required.

Research and study and understanding is the key to knowledge. I started from scratch. It takes time. I hope this helps a bit.
