You say I'm imposing my own set of morals. I think you've unintentionally hit the nail on the head as to why I'm outspoken on sites like this.

Having a religious person lecture an Atheist about imposing morals reminds me of pots and black kettles.

I have no issue with your right to believe, even though I may have no respect for what you believe.

Atheists (or anyone else) are NOT required to 'respect' something just because some other bunch of people think it's 'holy'.

The claim that something is 'holy' has been used for centuries as a sort of impenetrable magic shield in order to disallow examination, critique or any form of criticism.

Their thinking goes like this: "My holy religious books tell me that homosexuality is evil and that people in wheelchairs can stay there forever because stem cell research is unholy, and that what other adults do in their own bedrooms is MY business because the holy book tells me what's acceptable and what isn't, and you're NOT allowed to challenge me because it's 'HOLY'

Of course there is meaning and value and beauty in life. But the main purpose of life, (any life) is to create more life.
