re: sedition laws at work? Well if it is as you say it is Ypres, then why don't they rewrite the laws with those protections of out civil liberties? Instead they have very vaguely stated what is seditious in the legislation so that it is very open to interpretation ... so that it is a very big net to catch people when they want to.
