    You SURE SAID IT
    Hobart's turn is coming...............
    not far away"

    I doubt it boo.

Tassie isn't WA. Things change awfully slowly here - thank heavens.

Even if Hobart did change - it would take a hell of a long time to get like Syd. or Melb..

One look at how the city is laid out tells a story. The culture is set and very hard to change.

In the NW of the state there are places that are pretty much the same as 80 or 90 years ago - except they have electricity and modern cars and bitumen.

    That's pretty well it.

Honestly the only thing that will hurry Tassie along is weather.

Yes, there are some classy changes happening - MONA, ships, visits by International Opera companies - only coming to Tas. and not to the rest of the country - but, really, that is minimal.

And yes, you could fire a gun down the main street in early 90's and you couldn't possibly hit an Asian - and now it's different - thank heaven - but, change happens in Tassie in decades whereas in the mainland cities it happens in years.

The rest of the country thinks Tassie is cold and wet - good, let em think that :)
