    Hi Indi,

    What is a big contract ? Good question. When we have 3 to 5M in revenue anything beems big LOL....

    No seriously I consider the original Sanofi contract to have been Alans greatest achievement. It was the boldest move Ive ever seen and with that one deal he made the company from a dream to a reality. They built the facility in York and put in place the fundamentals for the growth of the various products and incredible talent we now have working there.

    It was valued at around $30 to $40M and once again Alan delivered on all the requirements to the satisfaction of Sanofi. I would imagine this was another incredible achievement for a small company trying to fight its way on the big stage.

    This success was now confirmed with a supply agreement from Sanofi. Lets look at the part of the contract we can see and review the facts....

    "Unilife has agreed to supply Sanofi with the Unifill Finesse™, a customized device from its Unifill® platform of prefilled syringes with automatic, needle retraction, for use with the anti-thrombotic therapy Enoxaparin Sodium sold under the brand names Lovenox® and Clexane® (“Lovenox”). The contract period can extend up to 2024.
    Unilife has granted Sanofi the exclusive use of the Unifill Finesse with anti-thrombotic drugs during the contract period. Following a four year ramp-up period after market entry, exclusivity will be maintained, subject to Sanofi purchasing a minimum of 150 million units of the Unifill Finesse or other Unifill syringes per year."

    11 years of exclusive sales to one of their biggest drugs and a minimum agreed sales volume of 150M units !!!!!!

    Truely even what we know is incredible !!!! At 150 m units at say 80c with the proposed 40% margin is $48m net profits. This will cover the full expenses of the company alone for the next 11 years.

    Whats really important is the bit we dont know. No Pharma will publically disclose its plans, we only know the minimum numbers.... whats the top number ??? Could it be 800m units ? for one drug ? What about all the others ???

    So for me this is just the opening of the next chapter and there is much more to this deal than anyone has yet seen.



    Your last question was about the next "big contract" so Ill set the threshold at upfront payments of $30M being in the range of "huge" !!!!!! "Big" would be in the $20M range and "very handy in deed"...... At this point we are scratching around trying to stay afloat so there is a fair way to go. But as all these contracts currently in play behind the wall of confidentiality play out we are all forced to wait. We have had a few slip through but they have disaapointed some and truely present more questions than answers because of the way you have to do business in the Pharma market.

    Im more sober on the reality now of the lead times so Ill temper my usual optimism with a little ramp up reality. But the key for me to our mid term was Lovenox..... That is the key for me. I hope the pumps ca beat that for prospective revenue and market penetration but I think Lovenox because of its penetration to the market will have everyone saying "Holly Shxx" what is this !!!!!!!!!!
