As far as I am aware, much of the compensation of the "shock jocks" as you call them comes from their ability to attract advertisers to their shows...

That is how the free enterprise capitalist system works, but that is real world, not the fantasyland that you seem to live in...

If the message of the "shock jocks" doesnt find an audience, advertisers will not bother with the show and the "shock jock" will probably have to settle for a job with the ABC where it doesnt matter how much his show or message stinks or even is repulsive, it is probably more important that he kowtow rabidly to his ABC boss's socialist political agenda...

Your tax dollars at work making these socialist subversives wealthy beyond the means of mere mortals...
