As an ABC employee Barrie Cassidy should be held accountable for his performance.

My guess is that someone like Mark Scott is absolutely on the ball in that regard and that The ABC's bottomline KPIs include viewer audiences, the implementation of new intiatives such as 'Offsiders' as part of rigorous performance review processes.

In contrast, last time I heard commercial tv and newsprint were struggling to make ends meet. Seems they're paying their admin. and senior staff way beyond what their businesses can actually afford.

My guess is that all they'll do is tap the market for money and whinge about competition from The ABC.
