    Snider,

"My apology my assumption was incorrect it was a vague recollection of one of your posts so you will not understand their perspective ie his name ect."

    No worries.

I did the same thing to someone else just yesterday. :)

    Karma..and all that.

"I was referring to incest, and by your reasoning you say that God is not bound by his own principle, well if that is the case then that explains why Human leaders act in the same way (Dictatorship) doesn't it as they are imitating God which is what he wants us all to do apparently!"

I'm not sure how incest and dictatorships go together. And TBH I don;t really see the incest problem at all..per se. Assuming both parties are fully informed and consenting adults and (at this point in time) birth control is in place there's not much of a moral component to it. With the prevalence of IVF these days the chances of someone breeding with a half-brother or sister is a bit of a worry though. form a genetic POV I mean.

But you are correct about the problem with leaders they simply imitating their God. Unfortunately it's not 'the' God. Though Jesus called them out on it pretty succinctly I thought "You are of your father the devil and you seek to do his will." So it's not hard to see who most leaders and government are following these days. All you have to do is look at the action in question and ask "Would the Christ of the scriptures do that"? and if the answer is 'NO' then there's only one other option. :)

"Also when you refer to God as Him. How can you be sure as the Bible says that God had no beginning and has no end so how can something with no beginning or end have a gender as to have a gender would indicate the opposite would it not?"

Yes that's true, God transcends gender but the particular facet of his character that has been revealed to us is that of 'father'. Of course Jesus took it a step further and used the word Abba, which means 'daddy', which has it's own particular meaning. And of course Jesus was male as well so if I use the word 'Him' it's more about defining who, precisely I am talking about rather than trying to assign a particular gender. Hope that helps.
