Martin sounds just a bit too precious. Who's to know that it wasn't a deliberate set-up of the police officer. Who was doing the camera and sound work while all this was going on?
Not so long ago the offender would have been arrested for swearing at the officer, so why shouldn't the officer now have the right to bite back with the same 'medicine' that the offender had already dished out, given that the law now considers swearing is no longer illegal due to commonality.
