bottom line is Indo spied on us and probably still doing so. So there should be two apologies.

Abbott didn't do it...it isn't proven (although we have a fair idea it may be so)
The savages soon show their true colours when given a chance and we can never trust Indonesia and they can't trust us because we don't trust them. Sad but true.
That said we should not tap the leaders or his spouses personal bloody phone and no country should have the right to do this.
Abbott should simply make a stand and say that if this happened he is deeply sorry and Australias view is that this simply is not an acceptable practice by any country and if any are doing it there should be an immediate stop.
As PM he is not advised as to everything that happens. This is a democracy not a dictatorship. All he can do is say he will do his best endeavor to ensure such things do not happen and if proven that they have happened he will put an immediate stop to it as eavesdropping on our close friends is simply not acceptable.
