    This is all about oil. The region became much more prominent to Japan after the 2011 tsunami as they increased their reliance on fossil fuels. China on the other hand also has a huge reliance on fossil fuels and not much energy security, something they need to change in order to remain a dominant economy.

    Clacoste - The Japanese, "They were bastards in the 30's and 40's…" Just remember they were also AT HOME "a wonderful culture and full of lovely people who are generous and good-natured" in the 30's and 40's ... it just depended where you ran into them. Especially in Nanjing(China).
