The truth is, it is you who just rants!

These people along with some of their politicians are calling for our blood in the streets.

As I have already pointed out, there is no scenario where Australia benefits long term by dealing with Indonesia.

With regard to the US my original point was that; a "US" citizen may own 100% of a Thai company where as an Australian citizen may only own 49% or something like 60% under a new deal which was worked out during Gillard tenure.
However If you read the fine print despite the Australian Embassy boasting about the achievement at the time the conditions laid out made it virtually impossible for an Australian to benefit from the new deal.
As I have said before I have been in this part of the world for over ten years. I have had business partners who were Thai Lawyers on more than one occasion. If you don't believe that Aussie's get shafted here, just email one of the big Law firms in Bangkok and I am sure they will be happy enough to respond in kind.

The Americans are clearly not happy with the current free trade agreement with Australia, that is why they want to change it!

Our biggest exports are Iron Ore and coal, the US is not a major importer of either.

The fact is when we make an agreement with the US it is honoured until we change it. Similar agreements made with ASEAN are just nonsense.
There are thousands of things Aussie's could do well to make money in ASEAN, but they will never allow us in on
a level playing field.

Trying to do business in this part of the world can be summed up with one line:
"They just want our money and they want it for nothing"
