They are a contractor, still plenty of juniors chasing the shale dream.
It has a place in gas production, but long term we just don''t know what deliverability of shale gas is. Talk in Qld is that a lot more wells will be needed than forecast ( look at TTN recent presentation - still think a bit of hope in their share price, but got in low $1 so will hold ) .
Offshore wells whilst they cost a lot more, flow stronger and for longer. The NWS is most likely still using some original wells drilled ( albeit would have been worked over many times and are well into a long decline )
Will a shale well be flowing at commercial rates in say 5 years time - we don't know.
