It is all about professionalism, and it seems Mr Scott has not displayed any at all.
I ask, should not an employee have spoken first to his employer regarding release of sensitive information? Mr Scott is payed by the taxpayer, he is employed in a role that requires some diplomacy and some intelligence...he also has displayed neither.

It is a fact that this information was known months prior to the election, another question that deserves to be answered is; why did Mr Scott wait from around May when the information was known, until November to release it?
Was it to inflict as much damage as possible to the Coalition's attempts to restore the Indonesia / Australia relationship?

I would not hesitate to add that I am sure that information would not have been released if Mr Rudd had won the election and the Labor Party were still setting the rules...
