When something goes up 100% in a week, it may present an opportunity to short. It depends what (who) drove the rally. For the people that have held for the long haul, we've seen large volumes come and go, and correspondingly the price rise and fall.
I don't think the original post was down ramping. I had a sense of worry when I saw the borrowing arrangement in the holder notice.
Don't bother pointing out the new developments, I'm in agreement. Things look much better now than they ever have. That alone does not preclude a shorting opportunity for an absolute return fund.
What does it matter anyway if we get sold back down to 5c, or 4c, they flags are in the ground, we've made great progress. It's unlikely we'll simply rocket on from here on this trajectory, there's still some big issues to come. If we don't get taken over we still have to make this commercial. Though I hope we do!!
I don't reckon you should jump down the posters neck for mentioning that UBS, NAB and BAML are notorious shorters. The more relevant information and experience the better.
All the best to all holders, the silly season is almost upon us, rally on into summer.
