I used to buy these same brands new. Circumstances change, and we with them. We have one of 2 choices, sink or swim.

Suppose I have been very lucky in that basically have remained the same size for many years.

I'm not a fashion follower, like very classic styles, they never really go out of fashion, and I wear them year in, year out. Boring I know, but it suits me.

There is so much rubbish in the op ships, but ever so often I come across some true gems, and whether I have need for them or not at the time, I still buy them, because I know that I will wear them in the future.

Know your brands, what suits you, and pop in to the stores ever so often. You will surprise yourself at just what you will find.

I got some Marie Claire boots, shoes, sandals one day for less than $25.00. Obviously from the same donor. World of difference between cheap and expensive shoes, believe me.

Things I no longer wear, I launder and always make sure that they are in good condition and donate back.

I am determined to spend some time travelling, so this is my way of saving money to reach my goal.

As I said a cheap pair of trousers from Target would set me back $50+, and I got over $500 of apparel for less than $50, and that's with spending $15.00 in having the trousers taken up. I find the difference between the better brands as opposed to the others is the cut and fabric, and after a few washes you can certainly tell the difference. They last and last and keep their shape.
