What nayr said was "...but I didn't get an impression of a significant improvement of airflow."

Sometimes as people get older they don't notice small changers as much....(not trying to be rude nayr)

He did say he.... "As I mentioned, I didn't get the feeling of any great improvement of air intake, yet I felt I was running better, lighter on my feet, and after 30 minutes felt that I could have gone further or run faster. I believe I was able to recover quicker from each sprint section which usually leaves me gasping for breath for 30 seconds or so. Also, the time seemed to go quicker."

Just maybe he's breathing more air through his nose and maybe before he was using his mouth more without realizing it.
At the same time he may be increases his oxygen intake, which I imagine would make him feel a lot better.

I know I use to breath through my mouth when I was running and once I started trying to breath hard through my nose and pump out through my mouth, I was able to run a lot better and for longer periods.(80-100k's a week)

If he is running better an also feeling better, then I consider he's on to something.
All the best with your exercise nayr.

    Regards
    Dabru
