A lot of people here fixate on one fact and try to make a case surrounding it . Look at all the facts in a clinical way and base your decision objectively.
Smokers do contribute , in paying the tobacco levies , drinkers likewise pay alcohol excise . People are employed to treat these folk of their ailments and benefits etc. ie doctors , nursing staff , govt workers etc.
I have had 2 dear friends die from lung cancer , neither smoked nor did their families . Both worked in an office . Both lived near to pristine environments.Was not genetic.
There were theories of coca cola to vaccinations etc.
My doctor son tells me that the body is made up of similar substances etc...so the brain lung and your testicles have the same organic material and its easy for the disease to migrate . An old colleague had cancer on his ear which went to his brain ,another friend had lumpy tissue after hip surgery , on investigation the cancer had migrated to his lungs and brain. Another had testicular cancer that went through to his bowel area .
And yes , one colleague did have lung cancer and yep he smoked a pipe.
My parents both smoked , my father died from bowel cancer and my mother had a heart attack . Bowel cancer is heredity /genetic so I have regular screenings , I suggest to anyone here to have at least one checkup .
